ABOUT THE EVENT:
Track Discovery workshop & open day: An informative day with like-minded people.
Have you heard about our track system? Wondered what its all about? Why we do it? How it was created? How a track system can benefit horses with different life long medical conditions and why it could improve the health and well-being of your horse? AND how to create your own track system at home?
We are really excited to be able to open up our track and invite you to join us for a day of learning and discovery about track systems and equine self selection (Zoopharmacology), in conjunction with the fantastic Garry Hinton!
Garry is a qualified Natural Hoofcare Practitioner working with Hoofing Marvellous, with a keen interest in Zoopharmacology and he is extremely generous with his knowledge sharing!
Garry will guide us through the day with an interactive talk, In the morning covering:
Track systems and how a track can benefit your horse/s
Effective management of diet, movement, mental stimulation and environment enrichment
How track systems can help relieve symptoms of a multitude of equine issues.
Alex & Selina will then invite you for a live tour of the 2by2 track system, where we will welcome your questions and take you through our journey from design, to build, to living life on our track. We will introduce you to the horses and how living on our track benefits each of them in turn. We will also talk about the future for us, our track and our horses.
We will then break for a relaxed lunch and a chat.
In the afternoon Garry will introduce us to Zoopharmacognosy, the study of how animals self medicate by foraging for plants and minerals with little or no nutritional value in order to maintain health or treat or prevent disease and help show us how horses visit natures pharmacy!
We will then end with a coffee and Q&A and hopefully leave you bursting with inspiration!
Travelling down to us? We are very easy to find from the A30.
We love social media! Coming for the day? Tweat your comments and photos using the hashtag #trackislife or upload them to our facebook page :-)
